Chairman Gregory Grizopoulos was unanimously elected at the Committee’s reorganizational meeting in September 2022 to fill the vacancy created by former Chairman Frank Tinari when he stepped down to run for election as a New York State Supreme Court Judge.
Chairman Grizopoulos then presided over the 2022 Mid-Term Election resulting in the successful election of United States Congressman Nick LaLota (CD-1), County Clerk Vincent Puleo, and Huntington/District Court Judge Bronwyn Black-Kelly including the re-election of New York State Senator Mario Mattera (SD-5), New York State Assemblyman Keith Brown (AD-12), Suffolk County Comptroller John Kennedy, and New York State Supreme Court Justice Frank Tinari.
Chairman Grizopoulos' goal is to be steadfast and focused on electing Conservatives and conservative candidates to office and to keep the Town of Huntington the greatest and safest place to live, work and raise a family.
Chairman Grizopoulos lives in the Town of Huntington with his wife and three children.
Chairman Grizopoulos is a former Assistant District Attorney who investigated and prosecuted criminal offenses including homicides and violent crimes. He served as the Nassau County Stop-DWI Special Prosecutor appointed by District Attorney Denis Dillon. He received national training in the areas of Alcohol Breath Testing and Highway Safety as well as Accident Reconstruction with the New York City Police Department's Accident Investigation Squad. He has also lectured at the Nassau County Police Academy.
Chairman Grizopoulos is an owner and partner at the law firm of Grizopoulos & Portz, P.C. with offices in Mineola and West Babylon. The law firm handles cases across Long Island and in New York City.
